About CricHIIT

Curious to know where CricHIIT started and what it's all about? Let us explain below.

CricHIIT was founded in Scotland, born out of the gap in the market for female participation in cricket. Cricket Scotland identified that many women interested in playing cricket were not actively participating for various reasons, including lack of time, no previous experience, feeling shy, and anxious about trying new things.

The ethos of the CricHIIT programme is to provide cricket opportunities in a fun and safe environment. The programme encourages women and girls to be physically active and provide solutions to overcome participation barriers by empowering, uplifting and supporting all those involved.

Having been adopted throughout Scotland, CricHIIT has been a catalyst for increasing female particpation. Many CricHIIT particpants have progressed to trying other forms of cricket or have gone onto form a team from their CricHIIT group! We have been overwhealmed by the uptake in programme and the postive impact CricHIIT has had on growing the women and girls game. The success of CricHIIT in Scotland can now be mirorred around the world with the accessibility of the Online Activator Training Course.
